On November 7, Tuesday, the Porto Alegre Consort held a performance during the International Symposium on Lutheran Reformation & Modernity, organized by the Center for European and German Studies (CDEA) and the Consulate General of Germany in Porto Alegre, with the support of the School of Humanities of PUCRS (Pontifical Catholic University).
On occasion, the group performed excerpts from the Bach's Cantatas BWV131 and BWV80, which is considered a hymn of the Protestant Reformation that celebrated 500 years on October 31, 2017.
The event took place at the University Chapel in Porto Alegre and was directed by Diego Schuck Biasibetti. The soloist of this concert were Andiara Mumbach (soprano), Verônica Burger (contralto), Francisco Amaral (tenor), Alexandre Kreissmann (tenor), Eduardo Linn (baritone) and Plínio Schereschewsky (baritone).
