Forever Chiquinha

"In 2005, I received an order for an arrangement on pieces by Brazilian composer Chiquinha Gonzaga to compose the recital "Elas por elas", a Trio project composed by South Brazilian musicians Hella Frank (violin), Inge Volkmann (cello) and Olinda Alessandrini (piano). The Trio performed works by women composers. The arrangement was performed on tour through Brazil. Later I received a new order from the pianist Luciana Malacarne, and this piece received a new version for string orchestra with piano solo, which was performed in the European tour of the Camerata Ivoti. The Chiquinha Suite, made especially for Santa Cruz Filarmonia orchestra, is a reduced version of the orchestral version from 2007. "
