Gymnopaedie N. 1

At the end of 1896, the French impressionist composer Erik Satie went through financial difficulties. To collaborate with him, the composer Claude Debussy, who was also his friend, orchestrated 2 of the 3 Gymnopédies that Satie originally wrote for piano when he was 22 years old. The first Gymnopédie, available on this page, is the best known of the three, having been widely used in commercials, films and TV series. This adaptation was made in 2015, for the Santa Cruz Filarmonia orchestra.
