Composers Pianists

Sandra Mohr's newest project intends to bring to the public piano pieces written by important composers who also acted as virtuoso pianists.
Having achieved a respectable piano technique mastery, his works explore in greater depth the capabilities of this instrument, without losing the lyricism and good taste.

Among the program pieces are the monumental Sonata in B minor dedicated to Robert Schumann by one of the most celebrated pianists in history: Franz Liszt.
On the program also are pieces less known but of great beauty such as Bedrich Smetana's Bohemian Peasant Festival and The Lark - a piece for voice and piano by Russian composer Mikhail Glinka, transcribed for piano solo by his compatriot and disciple Mily Balakirev.

The famous Scherzo No. 2 Op. 31 by Frédéric Chopin and the Notturno No. 3 by Franz Liszt, better known as Dream of Love, complete the recital.
