I wrote the Negro Dance III in August 2003. In 2005, I added an introduction that I called Lamento (Elegy). It was performed in several recitals of Brazilian chamber music that year, in duo with the cellist Rodrigo Alquati. Listen to the live recording of a recital realized in Porto Alegre/RS, South Brazil.
